Simplicity. Magic. Adventure.
Summer Camp at Grace Farm
- the way a summer should be -
Join us this summer as we set off to find the next adventure! Encompassing over 55 rolling acres of farm, garden, forest, meadow, and an elbow of the Kingsbury Branch of the Winooski River, our base camp, at Grace Farm not only serves as the headquarters for our school year programs at Orchard Valley Waldorf School, but also as the hub of summertime magic!
JUNE 30-AUGUST 8
Ages 4-14
Our days will be led by highly-qualified teachers who embody warmth, humor, and an innate ability to find the magic around them. Our greatest hope is that when the summertime ends, you and your child are already thinking about next summer with us! We know that there is untapped magic and adventure that lie in wait in these hills and we can not wait to share this with you and your children.

Summer Garden
(4-6 years old)
$400/week with commitment of 5 or 6 consecutive weeks
Our youngest campers will make their basecamp on the Farm where the wild violets (and gardens!) grow. They too will have plenty of time for play and exploration with friends, but this will be balanced with extra time for adventures and explorations in the meadows, fields and streams. During their days they will have plenty of time to play with old and new friends, visit with our goats and sheep, and enjoy the slower pace of daily gardening, forest walks, a long restful break or water play in the brook or sprinkler.
They can look forward to harvesting and working weekly in our gardens, building forts and fairy houses, daily singing, stories, hammock siestas, and afternoon handiwork craft.
Enrollment will be open for the following sessions:
Session I: June 30-August 8 (Six weeks)
Session II: July 7 -August 8 (Five weeks)
Farm and Craft CAMP
(7-10 years old)

Our Grades School campers will make their basecamp on the edge of the forest where the wild violets and gardens grow. They will be engaged daily in outdoor adventures across our 55-acre campus, along with work and exploration in our gardens and fields. They can look forward to harvesting and working daily in our gardens, cooking with harvested vegetables, seeking treasures during scavenger hunts, building forts and fairy houses, daily singing, stories, hammock siestas, and afternoon handwork craft.
Session III: July 14-18
Session IV: July 21-25
Session V: July 28-August 1
Session VI: August 4-8
WIld Woods Adventure Camp
(11-14 years old)
$400/session
Although this camp will follow a similar daily rhythm from week to week, with each week there will be new adventures and experiences--and will be led by different staff! Who doesn’t love the idea of trail building, baking over a fire, caring for, exploring and experiencing nature in its deepest forms, and connecting with friends–creating memories and friendships that are everlasting? These weeks of camp will be full of adventure, exploration and relaxing times with friends-both new and old. Please refer to individual camp descriptions as listed.
July 14-18: On the trail with Moss!
Join us for a week with beloved educator, Moss McCurdy. Moss has been an intrepid camp leader for us for more years than we can count! He also is a public school educator who specializes in working outdoors with middle and high school students. Your camper can look forward to trail building, forest and brook adventures, hammock siestas and game times (board games and larger group initiatives). For those pre-teens that want to be in community with one another in the outdoors, this is the place!
(Please check back for more camps on March 1 as we are in the process of adding additional camps!)
